WebTools.com: MozillaQuest: Building Your Own Browser Part IV

“Here in our fourth outing, we’re going to give our customized
Mozilla skin a more classic Netscape look and put our own links in
the default Personal Toolbar….”

Mozilla Milestone 17 (M-17, now in development) lets Web
surfers switch skins without the need to restart Mozilla.
You
can switch skins in M-16, too, sort of. However, you have to close
and then restart Mozilla after selecting a different skin for the
change to take effect.”

“To change skins in M-16 or M-17, click Edit > Preferences
> Appearance > Themes and then select the skin you want to
use. Incidentally, Skins now are called themes in Mozilla.
Nevertheless, a skin is a skin and we will continue to call them
such here (The themes will likely be a much-touted new feature in
the Netscape 6 PR2 launch).”
