Ever since LinuxOne announced its intention to go public,
the company has been the target of vitriolic abuse and not a few
bad jokes from the Linux community.
Rather than quietly face a
barrage of heated attacks, LinuxOne offers flamers a public
gateway: the “Flame of the Week Contest,” posted on its
homepage….”

“The company offers a Linux distribution — “the easiest Linux
OS to install which runs under Windows” — as well as Linux tools
and support services. But facing an admittedly short track record
in the Linux business, as well as accusations of violating the GPL,
LinuxOne’s move to go public has been met with skepticism by both
Linux fans and the media. In a December article, News.com called
the IPO “no sure thing….”

“One angry respondent even began to turn on other flamers. “I
don’t know which is worse, the fact that you have imbeciles
emailing you the worst in flames (especially that guy that can’t
seem to grasp the fact that haiku has a 5-7-5 syllable structure),
or the fact that your logo looks like some one tried to draw an
anarchy symbol on Tux while dropping acid.”
