ZDNet/UK: IT Week: Wyse bucks Linux trend

“Wyse Technology has decided to stop selling Linux-based thin
clients in favour of Microsoft’s embedded NT, bucking a trend in
the industry towards using Linux for appliance-like devices

The company will release two terminals next year with embedded
browsers, one based on Windows CE with Internet Explorer 4.0, and
the other based on Microsoft’s Windows NT Embedded 4.0, running
Internet Explorer 5.0.”

“Wyse has stopped selling a similar terminal based
on Linux and now makes it only for manufacturers.”
