“News is not so rosy at Canadian software maker Corel
Corporation [NASDAQ: CORL]. The company today announced that it
lost another $23.5 million US or $0.36 per share. Corel is in dire
situations. The software maker is largely viewed as the Canadian
Airlines in the Canadian software industry….”

Corel’s moves into Linux has not paid off. While companies
like Red Hat software are focusing on the enterprise, Corel is
adamant that it can capture enough market share in the desktop
market to make a difference.
