about Linux. Where’s that going?

Deninger: Right now only the most
sophisticated users–the Goldman Sachs of the world–are doing
really intense computing in the Linux environment. Personally, I
think there is a flaw in the Linux model, which is this: ultimately
I need to be able to point a finger at somebody running
mission-critical applications on a platform. Unless I’ve got
somebody I can actually point the finger at, I have an issue. I
don’t know, I’ve been around a long time and I’m corrupted by
knowledge and history. This isn’t a new thing…”
