Linux has been ‘coming to the desktop’ since 1994, but few
for-profit companies have really stood up to the challenge, and
when you exclude those companies that sell Linux services (such as
Red Hat), the numbers are even more slim. That’s not to say that
there isn’t a lot of lip service being paid to Linux.

the rescue of those oppressed by Microsoft for 10 years, much in
the same way that Apple has been going out of business for the last
decade. Lots of talk, little action, and tons of vested
