“Itochu Techno-Science Corp. said it will make a Japanese
version of Linux for UltraSPARC and start distributing it in May
1999.”

“The localization will be made jointly with 10 art-ni Corp. In
addition to making a Japanese version, Itochu Techno-Science will
provide a support service with an additional charge for
introduction of Linux and helping customers technical problems. It
will also provide support service for Linux for Intel Corp.’s
processors. Major systems integration vendors such as Itohchu
Techno-Science with expertise in Unix-based system integration have
started to offer Linux support. If these moves gain impetus, there
will be an increasing number of companies that decide to use Linux
for their information systems, market experts said.”
