AsiaBizTech: Leading Companies Present Clustering, Remote Monitoring Software at LinuxWorld Tokyo

“Japan’s leading manufacturers exhibited clusters and remote
monitoring systems that help improve Linux reliability at
LinuxWorld Expo/Tokyo2000 in Tokyo Big Site.
The event was
held May 11-12, 2000.”

“NEC Corp. exhibited a prototype Linux version of its cluster
software called “Clusterpro.” It is designed as a high-end product
equipped with a fail-over function via a shared disk. First
shipments are slated for this summer.”

“Toshiba Corp. also exhibited a prototype of shared disk-based
cluster software called “DNCWARE ClusterPerfect.” And at its booth,
IBM Japan Ltd. demonstrated the software on two IBM Netfinity PC
servers.”
