the most. Recently, III’s system-software laboratory has made solid
progress in the development of embedded Linux system software.”

“Through cooperation with multinational companies, including
Transmeta Corp., National Semiconductor Corp. (NSC), and Toshiba
Corp., the lab has recently introduced CPU solutions for
Linux-based information appliances (IAs). Also, it has concluded an
agreement with Teco Group to acquire the group’s IA development
through technology transfer.”
