“Sendmail Inc., provider of the Internet Mail platform Sendmail
for e-communication, e-applications and e-services, opens its first
office for Central Europe in Germany today. For German businesses,
the new presence in Munich means direct access to the products and
services of the Internet Mail market leader. The German launch
comes at the same time as the announcement of Sendmail’s strategic
partnerships with the Linux distributors SuSe and Red Hat.
The
goal of the partnerships is to maximize the synergy effects in
regard to Linux applications.”

“Paul Basson, Vice President of European Operations, comments:
“We are facing a market in Germany and throughout Europe that has
enormous growth potential. The explosive increase in Internet mail
traffic poses higher demands on providers for their products and
services. Sendmail fulfills these demands by providing stable and
scalable solutions that offer the greatest security for Internet
mail applications. The company will address the needs for
electronic business relationships and the communication
requirements of companies of all sizes in the German market.”

“E-mail systems have become one of the mission critical
applications in all companies today. Downtime has far reaching
consequences, making consulting and dependable support as essential
as the technology itself. We view this as our greatest area of
competence and our strength to continue Sendmail’s leadership as
the standard for e-mail,” states Stephan Schindler, Managing
Director of Sendmail GmbH in regard to the goals of Sendmail in
Germany. “
