Canada Computes: A case study in survival: Corel made the right decision, analysts say

probably aren’t pleased with Corel’s budget cuts, but experts agree
it’s the latest in a series of smart moves.

“Late last week Corel Corp. said it had “identified” the $40
million US it needs to cut to survive – but is the company cutting
flesh or fat?”

“During a press conference on Sept. 6, Corel’s executives said
the company would chop salaries, advertising, sales and “other
general and administrative costs” in an attempt to reposition this
beleaguered Canadian software company.”
