“Microsoft Corp yesterday upped the ante in its ongoing battle
against the cancer of open source, providing more lawsuit
indemnification for its partners and talking up another survey that
it says shows Windows beats Linux on security.

“The company broadened its intellectual property protection
scheme to cover more types of OEMs and channel partners, as well as
customers, and said there will be no limit to how much cash it will
provide for its partners legal defense funds…”
