Computerworld: Reuters Market Data System Now Available on IBM Servers

“For the first time, Reuters Market Data System customers will
be able to use the application on IBM servers running Linux.

“Under a deal announced Monday, Reuters Market Data System
(RMDS), which provides real-time financial market information to
its customers, is now available on IBM eServer xSeries and eServer
BladeCenter systems running Linux.

“The deal marks the second hardware platform announcement this
year for RMDS. In February, Reuters announced that the application
was available on Hewlett-Packard Co. ProLiant servers running Red
Hat Linux Advanced Server on Intel Corp. hardware. Until the HP
deal, RMDS was most widely used on hardware from Sun Microsystems
Inc. running the Solaris operating system…”
