Etsy, the leading marketplace for handmade goods, has grown by leaps and bounds over the past five years. During that time they’ve iterated on their model, their strategy, and their mission. One thing that’s driven the success of those changes is their open workplace culture. Opensource.com talked to senior engineering manager John Goulah about what it means to fail faster at Etsy, and he shared some interesting insights into the communication techniques his company uses to empower its associates and improve the experience of buyers and sellers on the site.
