“Zelerate, Inc., the open source e-commerce company, and
Jabber.com, Inc., the open source instant messaging company
and subsidiary of Webb Interactive Services, Inc., have
announced they have entered into a comprehensive strategic
marketing and sales referral agreement.”
“Under the terms of the agreement, Zelerate will promote
Jabber’s open-source technologies along with Jabber.com’s
commercial solutions and professional services for instant
messaging to Zelerate customers as a solution for real-time
customer relationship management (CRM) and other immediate
communications needs. Jabber will offer its customers the
e-commerce software and implementation services of Zelerate. While
financial arrangements were not disclosed, both companies will
embark on joint promotion, market development and customer referral
activities immediately.”
“The offerings of both Zelerate and Jabber are designed to work
with major operating systems. Zelerate’s WAP-enabled Zelerate
AllCommerce application suite features the core set of extensible
modules required by major Internet business models and includes
end-user interfaces to provide marketing managers with the ability
to easily customize online pricing, inventory and ordering
information. To ensure that businesses can manage both online
orders and product fulfillment, the company recently introduced
Zelerate Warehouse Management, which provides fulfillment functions
previously unavailable to online business operations.”
