Financial Express: Red Hat In Talks With Infosys For Linux-based Finnacle

“Red Hat has expanded its hold in the Indian market, adding to
its list of business partnerships. The company has announced
collaborations with key IT vendors in India, with a view to
creating a vast portfolio of Linux-enabled products. It has
initiated work with other major ISVs (independent software vendors)
like Tata Consultancy Services, Satyam, Wipro for high-end
developer training, systems administeration training and kernel
internal training which are required for overseas projects. Mr
Tapia said, ‘If the systems integrators and the ISVs have
recognised that there is significant business to be had from Linux,
then they will be taking necessary investment decisions.’

“He added that with increased awareness and adoption of Linux
here, Red Hat India has witnessed an astounding 100 per cent growth
year-on-year. In order to support the next phase of growth in
India, the company is expanding its domestic presence by setting up
offices in New Delhi and Bangalore…”
