Heise Online: Software of Lidl Notebook Allegedly Violates GPL

“The project gpl-violations.org has noticed that the notebook
manufacturer Targa has equipped its model Traveller 826T MT32
produced for the German discount chain of stores Lidl with
GPL-licensed software, namely ‘Targa Quick Media,’ which uses
Linux. There was nothing wrong with that in principle, the project
founder Harald Welte said, yet the use of such software under the
free software license GNU General Public License (GPL) was subject
to a number of concrete conditions, he observed…”
