“Red Hat India, the Linux applications and open source provider,
is betting on small and medium enterprise (SME) segment to drive
the growth of Linux usage on desktops in the coming years.

“‘We expect SME segment to realise the cost advantages and the
better technological capability of Linux operating systems. There
will be a significant shift to Linux operating systems on the
desktops by SMEs,’ Red Hat India Pvt Ltd director (India), Javed
