“WordPress takes care of these needs allowing remote posting via
email or the WordPress XML-RPC interface (if you enable the
WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC checkbox in
goinig to Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing). The first
method is explained here and in other places, but requires setting
up a dedicated email account. For several reasons I preferred not
to do it that way, so I looked at the other system. “
