“At its Shanghai OpenWorld conference Tuesday, Oracle announced
that it will speed adoption of Linux in the Asian market by bumping
Asianux to its world-class Linux support program.

“Oracle also announced that it is now fully certified on the
Asian Linux platform. The certification means that Asianux users
can receive joint technical support on the platform for the full
range of Oracle’s 10g offerings.

“‘Providing front-line support for Asianux is a key part of our
strategy to provide the highest level of support to customers
worldwide running Oracle on Linux,” said Charles Phillips,
president of Oracle, in a statement. “Now customers in Asia Pacific
will immediately receive direct, global support from
Oracle…'”
