“I had a briefing with Versora this week. It’s a company that
provides migration products for moving to Open Source. Right now it
is focusing on PC migration from Windows to Linux, or from MS
Office to Open Office within the Windows environment. The migration
products can be bought direct from the web site but the company is
currently trying to sew up OEM deals with Linux desktop
distributions, so that when you buy Linspire or Red Hat or
whatever, you will be able to automatically convert your
data/environment.

“What’s holding the Linux desktop back I wonder (apart from the
fact that it isn’t marketed by Apple)…?”
