year appears to have had one unanticipated effect outside of the
realm of intellectual property. The lawsuit is making Indian
outsourcing companies wary of going the open source route when they
handle work for clients.“Officials at Infosys in Bangalore, the most widely known among
the myriad Indian outsourcing companies, told NewsForge that while
the company’s use of open source technologies for its clients was
not significant at this point of time, the SCO case has had an
impact.
