partnership with Korea’s leading Linux vendors Linux One, Linux
International and Linux Korea, they said.”
“Intel Korea will provide server computers, Oracle will provide
database systems, and their local partners will take care of
technology supporting and education.”
“They will target domestic [Korean] technology ventures
developing enterprise applications accommodating the OS alternative
to Windows. Their joint initiative, called e-Linux Club, is also
seen as a bid to rev up Linux to compete with Sun
Microsystem’s Solaris OS, that dominates the server market.”
