“Between a full load of classes and midterms, four students from
the Claremont Colleges are balancing a new sort of project,
launching their own e-commerce site centered around Linux, a free
computer operating system similar to Microsoft Windows or Mac
OS.”

“The Web site, LinuxBoxen.com, distributes Linux-compatible
hardware, software and other computer parts, such as video
cards.”

‘It went beyond our expectations,’ Dana Johnson said.
‘We’re not millionaires, but it’s enough to help support
us.’
