GeekTeknologies, Inc., a start-up provider of high-end
workstations and Linux services has announced plans for a Web site
for its information technology (IT) consulting
division
–YourOfficeGeek.com (YOG). YOG is targeted at the
small-to-medium business (SMB) markets and provides a centralized
place for businesses and IT professionals (geeklings) to
communicate. According to the company’s press release, this
contract service will cover only the Los Angeles area initially.
Plans are underway to expand this program nationally.”

“The geeklings will be available for short or long term
contracts, the press release continued. The Web site provides an
area for companies to post positions and an area for IT
professionals to list their skills. YOG is intended to attract SMBs
that do not have the funding for the extensive or advanced work
they need done.”
