“LinuxWorld in San Francisco is only a month away. You might
think that this means everything’s set and ready to go, but the
closer time comes for the convention and trade show, the more
companies register. Small businesses with proportionally small
advertising budgets might not sign up until a week before the show.
Individuals and businesses who weren’t sure their products would be
ready in time might even show up at the very last minute to
register for a booth.“According to Rob Scheschareg, VP of IDG World Expo and
LinuxWorld show Producer, one promising sign is that advanced
registrations are coming in once again from startup companies as
well as the big guns. He recommends that you check the Web site
regularly, and if you don’t recognize one of the companies there,
click through and take a look. You might find a great, new product
or Linux company.“In addition to a constantly growing list of booths at the trade
show, the folks behind LinuxWorld have been working hard on making
sure to have a strong educational track. Research shows that both
people and businesses consider quality education the best use of
their time and money, so in a troubled economy it is key to have
that type of draw. Rather than generic Linux coverage people could
get anywhere, LinuxWorld Expo instead has focused on providing the
most up to date information possible, at times focused on specific
industries…”
