“A showcase featuring how local businesses are already using
Linux.“
“The Melbourne Linux Users Group, Inc. is sponsoring the first
annual “Linux In Business Showcase”. The event will feature
tabletop showcases by local businesses demonstrating how they use
Linux to solve problems and save money. The event will be held on
Saturday, February 19th, 2000 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. It will be
held at the Hilton Melbourne Airport which is located at 200 Rialto
Place in Melbourne, Florida. Advance registration and a complete
list of participating companies is available at
http://www.mlinux.org/showcase/.”
“We are excited about the chance to speak to business people in
their language. Linux is a hard to define technology for most
business people. Hearing how other companies, especially local
companies, use a technology can often explain more than all the
articles and news stories in the world,” says Anthony Awtrey, the
chairman of the Melbourne Linux Users Group, Inc.”
