“Embedded Systems Veteran Patrice Commune brings 15 years
Sales and Marketing Experience to Embedded Linux Supplier”

“MontaVista Software, Inc., developer of the Hard HatTM
Linux® operating system for embedded applications, today
announced that Patrice Commune has joined the company as vice
president of International Sales. Commune brings with him over 15
years of embedded and real-time sales and marketing experience, and
high visibility in global embedded systems markets. Commune’s
responsibilities will include Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and
ROW regions, including establishing a direct presence in those
territories.

“In his new position, Commune will assume the responsibilities
of MontaVista international operations at the company’s
recently-inaugurated European headquarters in Paris. Commune will
continue to build the international team that is expected grow the
company’s European organization and support infrastructure to over
twenty in coming months. He will lead the company’s entries into
Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Nordic countries. “There is no
one better qualified in this entire industry to take on this role,”
comments Brian Grega, MontaVista vice president of Worldwide Sales.
“When MontaVista embarked on its international expansion earlier
this year, our search for a world-class sales executive began and
ended with Patrice.”
