“Digital Creations, developers of Zope, an Open Source Web
application server, announces the release of its new Content
Management Framework (CMF). CMF makes it easy to rapidly build
content management systems so even non-technical users can maintain
systems, safely speeding content creation and publication….”

“CMF enables the secure distribution of content to those
responsible for maintenance and updates. Templates simplify the
entire content creation process, which is managed through the Web.
Role-based Permissions ensure proper implementation of content
publication. Workflow, like other business rules, can be fully
customized to fit the organization’s rules. Version Tracking and
Rollback capability ensure that any changes can be quickly and
easily made, without impacting the rest of the site.”

“CMF treats the three tiers of a Web site — content, business
rules and presentation — as Managed Content, resulting in an
extremely flexible system. Security, Permissions and Version
Control can be applied to each layer separately. Changes can be
made off-line, and rolled out immediately once approved. Multiple
presentations are supported. Members can choose the look and feel
they prefer. Business rules can be customized, and different groups
can have different rules.”
