“Oh sure, there has been some minor improvements with regard to
upgrading the BIOS version(s) perhaps, but the fact remains that
any real innovation has fallen by the wayside. That is where
LinuxBIOS is hopefully going to pick up the slack…
LinuxBIOS would prove beneficial as having BIOS developed by the
community ensures that the user’s best interest will remain the key
focus when all is said and done. In the end, I suppose one might
need to ask themselves whether or not their Linux box is truly an
open source machine.”
