“Cash strapped Corel Corp. is considering options for its Linux
operating system business, including a possible sale.”

“‘In order for [the business] to be successful, it needs to be
bigger than it is,’ Derek Burney, the chief executive, said
yesterday. ‘There are a number of ways to do that. We could acquire

sell it. We are prepared to look at any possibility.'”

“Ottawa-based Corel, who’s stock has tumbled more than 75% this
year, expects to announce its plan for the Linux business as early
as next month.”
