Ottawa Citizen: Embattled Corel ignored in Linux rally

“Some Linux software companies got a lift yesterday from
troubles at Microsoft and positive developments in their emerging
market. But Corel Corp. wasn’t one of them.”

The Ottawa company’s shares fell $2 — 17 per cent –to
$9.75 because of concerns about the viability of the company and a
general decline in technology stocks.

“Red Hat Inc. and Caldera Systems Inc. rose on reports that IBM
will preload their Linux operating systems on a line of servers.
Red Hat gained 1/2 to $26 3/4; Caldera rose $1 1/2 to $12 1/4.”
