Ottawa Citizen: Investors dump Corel shares

“Corel Corp. stock fell 7.5 per cent yesterday as skittish
investors worried about the future of the company.”

Fears were raised by rapidly falling Corel sales and a
company warning that if it is unable to raise $30 million through
sale of stock or other new financing, “the company’s ability to
continue could be in substantial doubt.

“Some U.S. news services picked up on the warning, buried at the
bottom of a quarterly earnings report, which restated warnings that
Corel had issued in the last few months.”
