Being powered by Linux kernel 3.5, the Pear OS 7 Server operating system includes updated applications and fixes various bugs found in the development releases, making it stable and more reliable. Pear OS 7 Server includes the following open source technologies found on all server distributions: Apache web server, MySQL database, Apache Tomcat servlet container, the Webmin system administration interface, the Samba file sharing server, the powerful Proftpd FTP server, a UNIX firewall and SSH.
