“Wave Technologies International, Inc. (Nasdaq: WAVT), today
announced it will partner with TurboLinux, Inc. to develop a
complete Linux education curriculum that includes instructor-led
courses and self-study courseware for TurboLinux customers,
resellers and partners on TurboLinux. Under terms of the agreement,
Wave, a global leader in information technologies
courseware development and training, will develop courses and
study materials that will track to the Linux Professional
Institute’s (LPI) certification standards. TurboLinux and Wave will
partner on creating a full suite of self-study and instructor led
course offerings.”

“Ken Kousky, president and chief executive officer of Wave
Technologies, said, “This is certainly a very exciting partnership
for Wave Technologies because TurboLinux is riding high on the
growing popularity of Linux. The partnership gives Wave the
opportunity to leverage its Linux courseware development and
certification experience for a global Linux company.”

“The certification training program Wave is developing for
TurboLinux will track to the Linux Professional Institute’s
vendor-neutral Level I certification, which covers the skills
needed by an entry-level system administrator and contains two
parts: General Linux System Administration and
Distribution-Specific Material. Wave’s program will be specific to
the TurboLinux distribution.”
