“Frank Koelsch, executive vice president of Info-Tech Research
Group, says he was surprised to see the results of his study. After
polling 1,400 IT managers and CIO is SMB corporations, his group
found that 48% were not interested in Linux, 15 % were not sure
about Linux, and only 10% plan to evaluate Linux.

“The Info-Tech report is now one of five studies from 2005 alone
sitting on Microsoft’s ‘Get the Facts on Windows and Linux’ site
trumpeting the ROI and TCO advantages of Windows over its open
source rival in certain market segments
