“Much of the continued explosive growth of Linux adoption in New
Zealand and Australia remains unseen, unannounced and often behind
the scenes. Certainly, there are numerous overt Open Source
initiatives and nearly every day we read about another major
migration to Linux in this region of the world. However, when I
began my cursory investigations into Linux adoption and use here, I
knew there was more than the surface revealed.

“Many of the leading I.T. organizations in both Australia and
New Zealand are utilizing Linux. What I did not realize at the
time, but now understand far better, is that this growth is more
often unspoken and driven one organization at a time, one
installation at a time…”
