Red Hat CEO Discusses the Future of Business Planning

A year ago, Jim Whitehurst, CEO of Red Hat declared at his company’s Red Hat Summit event that in the modern enterprise, planning is dead.

At the Red Hat Summit 2018 event in San Francisco on May 9, Whitehurst returned to that same topic, providing insights into how modern, agile enterprises are enabling both executives and staff to thrive in a world where static corporate plans no longer work. In his view, planning is now being replaced with three core ideas: configuration, enablement and engagement.
