Reuters/CNET News: Red Hat Scoops Up JBoss

“Red Hat, a distributor of Linux software, said on Monday that
it will acquire open-source middleware company JBoss for an initial
$350 million.

“The transaction consists of 40 percent cash, with the balance
in common stock, Red Hat said in a statement. The company said it
will also pay about $70 million more, if certain performance
metrics are achieved…”
