A new vendor-neutral marketplace for Linux and other
open-source software kicks off operations today with a call to
vendors who want to register their products and services on the Web
site.

“Kaivo Inc.’s goal is to spread the popularity of Linux beyond
the techies and hobbyists into the arena where strategic corporate
decisions are made. The worldwide market for information technology
services is expected to grow to $633 billion by 2003, according to
International Data Corp.”

“We’re building a place where corporate and end-user customers
can communicate with resellers and consultants, who can actually
build corporate customers full-blown solutions,” said Brian Cabral,
president and founder of Kaivo, which is based in Denver.”
