“In its announcement of the version 3.4 release, the team
provided an extensive list of updates to the OS, including a 2.6.22
Linux kernel; extra power management using PowerTop; wireless on
mac80211; CFS scheduler; and virtualization with KVM, Virt-Manager,
and VirtualBox support.

“The team also claims the 3.4 release to be the first to support
the ext4 file system “for the brave,” during installation. Ext4
support was added to kernel 2.6.19 by Andrew Morton last year, and
it ramps volume support to 1 exabyte (an exabyte is 1024 petabytes;
a petabyte is 1024 MB).”
