November 3 and feel a certain disappointment. Leaders had promised
them something that wouldn’t be delivered; expectations had been
raised only to be dashed.

Solaris 10 will be launched, as scheduled, the week after
next, but it will not be available for actual purchase
until close to year end, and it will be even longer before the open
