St Louis Business Journal: Cassens, Gundaker line up for Linux

“Like a lot of devotees of the upstart operating system Linux,
Phillippe Welsh more or less sneaked it in the door where he
works.”

“No doubt his bosses don’t mind now. After serving a few
printers at the Edwardsville headquarters of Cassens Transport Co.,
Linux now runs on more than 40 computers there, at a savings of at
least $242,000.”

“At Gundaker Realtors/Better Homes & Gardens, network
engineer Dan Gluck said installing Linux throughout the 35 local
offices has saved more than $393,500.”
