iSeries servers, formerly known as the AS/400 line, said Bill
Zeitler, senior vice president for Big Blue’s Server Group.”
“The company will also unveil technology to allow the iSeries to
be partitioned for both OS/400 and Linux on the same machine, and
will discuss similar partionability on its pSeries–its previous
RS/6000 line–servers as well.”
“New high-speed interconnects between the company’s iSeries
and xSeries, formerly the NetFinity, servers, will be introduced,
as will technologies that enable Linux clustering of xSeries
servers, said Zeitler.”
