“The federal court said two weeks ago that U.S. District Judge
Thomas Penfield Jackson would issue his findings on a Friday, but
did not stipulate which Friday. However, trial watchers and
published reports say this Friday will be the day.

If that is the case, the public will be told at approximately
4:30 Eastern time with the actual findings released at
approximately 6:30 Eastern time.”

” ‘The judge’s findings of fact foreshadow his conclusions about
whether the company violated the law and in what way,’ said William
Kovacic, law professor at George Washington University, Washington,
D.C.”

“Jackson will probably find resoundingly against Microsoft,
said Hillard Sterling, an antitrust attorney at Gordon and Glickson
in Chicago.
‘The findings will send a clear telegraph of the
judge’s pending legal conclusions,’ Sterling said. ‘The law will
flow naturally and clearly from factual decisions.’ “
