“Viztel Solutions Sdn Bhd announced that it has expanded the
range of services offered at its Crossjunction.com site to include
web-based communications management, voice interactive services, a
short messaging system (SMS), and “ByteJunction.”
“The Linux-run Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) portal was
launched in January, and all of its services are provided free of
charge. Its web-based communications management feature allows users
to combine e-mail, fax and voice-mail into a common platform at
Crossjunction.com. Users can opt to listen to — rather than read
— their e-mail messages through their WAP-enabled handphones.”
“Viztel said that in the future, Crossjunction.com would
allow users to “listen” to websites: Content like stock quotes,
sports news and weather information can be accessed by any
fixed-line or handheld telephone. This feature will be rolled
out within the next few months, the company said, without
specifying an actual date.”
