same reason. Startups these days are desperate to conserve cash,
not spend it.”

“Linux-related companies face the same difficulties with the
move toward doing business with large corporations as do
infrastructure companies. But the problem can be more
pronounced.”

“Just as they have realized they no longer have to move
helter-skelter into e-commerce, Fortune 500 companies are in even
less hurry to embrace Linux, whose applicability has yet to be
proven. Those that want to dabble in Linux can go to new companies
for products and assistance or to giants such as IBM
Corp.”
