“Plan B is a suggestion for Lindows.com but it is a formula for
all GNU/Linux distributions to consider and hopefully utiltize to
their advantage. For once, I’m not putting out fish food and hoping
to catch some unaware Linux advocate. It’s an idea that I believe
has come to fruit.

“Lindows.com is a business. Some Linux advocates do not
appreciate how difficult it is to operate a business and they
complain that Lindows.com is a business. Well, money doesn’t grow
on trees and there is never a guarantee that money will be
available. Therefore, successful businesses work hard to ensure
their survival. Just look at the sad story of Mandrake having to
beg for money in order to stay alive. It’s embarrassing. As I told
a friend once, “In business, hope is a dangerous ideal.” In order
to stay in business you must never hope and always plan. In fact,
it is best to have a solid 5 year business plan, an alternate plan,
and then another plan for when something goes wrong. Lindows.com
has an OEM business plan but it may be time to for them to consider
Plan B…”
