“Corel… is teaming up with Irvine, Calif.-based
application service provider (ASP) FutureLink Corp. to offer
applications such as WordPerect 9, Quattro Pro 9 and Corel
Presentations 9 via the Web.
The service is currently in pilot phase, a Corel spokeswoman
said, and is available on a subscription basis: $9.99 per
month, per desktop.
She said WordPerfect Office 2000 will be widely available by the
beginning of next year and a pricing scheme is still being
determined.”
