“A protracted NSW government project to give its agencies
cheaper and quicker access to Linux and open source software is
reaching fruition with several vendors preparing to sign contracts
as pre-approved suppliers.

“Small Australian Linux services consultancy Solutions First
told ZDNet Australia it had signed an agreement on Friday
formalising its membership of the state government’s Linux
procurement panel following several months of negotiations with
